Tourist Visa

Work Permit Visa

  • Copy of tax document paid by the Angolan Company know as DAR Should be duly notarized by Angolan notary to send to the Invitee.
  • Original Medical Certificates translated and attested by the MEA, Patiala House (Consular Division), New Delhi.
  • Original Police Clearance Certificate translated and attested by the MEA, Patiala House (Consular Division), New Delhi.
  • Declaration of obeying Angola’s current laws
  • Original Graduation and Post Graduation Certificates either translated or attested.
  • Covering letter on Company’s letterhead with Company’s seal and address and contact number (letter should have details like travel dates, passport number, designation, a brief company profile and other details about trip and expenses).

  • Contract for temporary employment. This document (signed by the employer) must specify the job position the foreigner is being hired on and the duration of the employment.

Special guidelines for COVID-19

There are restrictions for specific categories of passengers travelling to Angola. Please check the latest requirements before you travel. If you are travelling to Angola, you are required to take a COVID‑19 RT‑PCR test and complete a Travel Registration Form, which are both required to be carried out in the 72 hours prior to departure.

Please note:

All passengers will be accepted for travel to Angola provided they meet entry requirements as per Angolan authorities.

Due to additional testing procedures on arrival, passengers are advised that arrivals formalities will be longer in duration than normal. Your patience will be appreciated.

COVID‑19 testing requirements

As per Angolan government requirements, all passengers, travelling to or from Angola must be tested, including children and infants.

In order to board international flights to and from Angola, it is mandatory to present a molecular based RT‑PCR COVID‑19 test with a negative result. Testing must be carried out in the 72 hours prior to departure.

All passengers will also be tested (Rapid Test for COVID) on arrival at 04 Fevereiro International Airport in Luanda. This test is compulsory and will be provided free of charge by Angolan Health Authorities.

  • Passengers with a negative test results may proceed to a mandatory 10‑day home quarantine, after which they must take the test again. Following a second negative test result, they will then receive authorisation from the health authorities to resume normal activities.
  • Passengers who test positive for COVID‑19 will immediately be isolated in institutional quarantine at an appointed facility designated by Angolan health authorities.

Required forms

Passengers must complete a Travel Registration Form (FRV) up to 72 hours before the date of travel and must sign the commitment term with the conditions defined by the competent authorities. Failure to do so may hinder or inhibit travel.

Quarantine

  • National citizens, foreign residents and members of diplomatic corps accredited in Angola travelling to Angola who do not test positive for SARS COV 2 prior to travel must home quarantine on arrival.
  • Non‑resident foreigners travelling to Angola are required to home quarantine unless otherwise mandated by the health authorities.
  • Citizens subject to home quarantine sign a term of responsibility, under the terms defined by health authorities.
  • After 10 days and once passengers have taken a second SARS‑COV‑2 test with a negative result, the competent health authority will issue a discharge certificate, at which point home quarantine is considered complete.
  • As long as the home quarantine lasts, the citizens subject to it must remain in their respective home and observe the individual protection measures, under the terms defined by the health authorities.
  • Where health authorities consider that the terms of home quarantine can’t be fulfilled, such as being able to maintain physical distancing, institutional quarantine will be required.
  • Anyone found contravening home quarantine measures will face a minimum fine of AOA 150,000 and will immediately be placed under Institutional Quarantine.

Exemptions

Only the following categories of passengers are allowed entry to Angola:

  • Return to national territory of national citizens and foreign citizens residing in Angola;
  • Entry of foreign professionals who provide services in Angola, both to public and private entities;
  • Entry of foreign citizens with a work visa;
  • Return of foreign citizens to their respective countries;
  • Official trips to and from the national territory;
  • Entry and exit of cargo, goods and postal parcels;
  • Humanitarian aid;
  • Medical emergencies;
  • Technical Shifts / Rotations;
  • Entry and exit of diplomatic and consular personnel;
  • Transfer of corpses, provided that the cause of death is not COVID‑19.

Travel from Angola

It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure that they meet the entry requirements of the final destination, in addition to obtaining the valid documentation for the trip. When in doubt the passenger should contact the nearest embassy / consulate to ensure they meet the necessary requirements of the country to which they are travelling.
