Business Visa

  • 2 Copies of visa application form to be filled completely and signed.

  • Two Recent Photographs 35 x 45 Background should be white with 80 % face no spectacles or cap, both ears should be visible and teeth should not be visible
  • Invite letter on Company’s letterhead with seal and address and contact number (letter should have details like travel dates in and out, passport number, designation, a brief company profile and other details about trip and expenses) In English and Portuguese Both with CNPJ registration number
  • Covering letter on Company’s letterhead with Company’s seal and address and contact number (letter should have details like travel dates, passport number, designation, a brief company profile and other details about trip and expenses).
  • Personal letter having Name, Nationality, Age, Passport No, and Date & Place of issue and reason for visit Leave letter from the company
  • Compulsory return ticket
  • Hotel Confirmation with guest name, check-in, check-out details, payment confirmation details and hotel name and address.
  • Xerox copies of Income Tax Papers last 03 years

Tourist Visa

  • 2 Copies of visa application form to be filled completely and signed.

  • Covering Letter and Leave letter from Company
  • Personal letter having Name, Nationality, Age, Passport No, and Date & Place of issue and reason for visit Leave letter from the company
  • Hotel Confirmation with guest name, check-in, check-out details, payment confirmation details and hotel name and address.
  • Xerox copies of Income Tax Papers last 03 years
  • Updated bank statement for 6 months in original from the bank with stamp and seal
  • Compulsory return ticket.

Work Permit Visa

To be eligible for this visa applicants have to prove that they have:

  • Two years of relevant professional experience in the chosen field and at least nine years of education (school level)
  • A relevant university degree and one year of professional experience
  •  Original passport, valid for at least six months after the intended arrival to Brazil. The passport must be signed and have at least 2 blank visa pages.  (Please note: soiled, damaged or defaced passports will not be accepted. Obtain a new passport if your current one does not meet such criteria.)
  • Old passport, whenever available.
  • One recent photo, size 4cm x 5cm, in colour, front view, white background.
  • Apostilled non-criminal certificate issued by applicant’s local Police Station within the past 90 days OR issued by MEA/CPV (in which case certificate does not need to be apostilled)
  •  Letter from company/organization with the labour approval process number and applicants passport details.

Student Visa

  • 2 Copies of visa application form to be filled completely and signed.
  • Current passport valid for more than 6 months and previous passport
  • Two Recent Photographs 4cm x 5cm Background should be white with 80 % face no spectacles or cap, both ears should be visible and teeth should not be visible
  • Apostilled non-criminal certificate issued by applicant’s local Police Station within the past 90 days OR issued by MEA/CPV (in which case certificate does not need to be apostilled)
  • Evidence of applicant’s employment and leave.
  • Updated bank statement for 6 months in original from the bank with stamp and seal
  • Proof that applicant has obtained a scholarship (in such case, no other evidence of means needs to be presented).
  • Notarized proof of enrollment with a school/college/university certifying that applicant will be attending a course. Documents should clearly state the number of classes and hours of classes per week that the applicant is expected to attend (notarization of proof is waived if document is issued by a federal university in Brazil).
  • Education Certificate

NOTE:  Covering letter and invitation should favor ‘To, The Visa Officer, Consulate General of Brazil, Mumbai’.

All the work visa applications must be submitted in Brazil by Brazilian company. The embassy will only issue visas pre-approved by the ministry of labor

Special guidelines for COVID-19

    • Passenger who in the past 14 days have been in or transited through South Africa or United Kingdom are not allowed to enter or transit through Brazil
    • Passengers entering or transiting through Brazil must have a medical certificate with negative  COVID-19  RT-PCR test result . The test must have been taken the first embarkation point. The certificate must be in English, Portuguese or Spanish (This does not apply to passengers younger than 2yrs and passengers youngers than 12yrs and travelling accompanied by a companion. The companion must have a negative COVID-19  RT-PCR test result )
    • Passengers must complete a Traveler’s Health Declaration form before departure and present  it upon arrival. Form : https://formulario.anvisa.gov.br/
