Student Visa

Special guidelines for COVID-19

  • All passengers must sign a declaration form, providing their itinerary and local contact details https://www.cancilleria.gob.ec/ 
  • Travelers must present a negative PCR test result for COVID-19 that has been taken no more than 10 days prior to departure. Arrivals without a negative result must agree to take a COVID-19 test at the airport, at their own expense.
  • Random antigen tests will also be carried out by the Ministry of Health (MSP) on arriving passengers.
  • Arrivals who test positive for the antigen test must self-isolate for a period of 10 days in a government-mandated shelter.
  • Local residents and people who fall under the ‘priority attention group’ category, including anyone over 65 years old, children and pregnant women, will be allowed to self-isolate at their homes
  • All land borders with Peru and Colombia remain closed until further notice. However, Ecuadorean nationals and foreign residents may be allowed to enter Ecuador through Rumichaca and Huaquillas northern and southern borders
