  • 2 Copies of visa application form to be filled completely and signed.

  • Invite letter on Company’s letterhead with seal and address and contact number (letter should have details like travel dates in and out, passport number, designation, a brief company profile and other details about trip and expenses)
  • Updated bank statement for 6 months in original from the bank with stamp and seal
  • Xerox copies of Income Tax Papers
  • Overseas medical policy
  • Compulsory return ticket
  • Salary Slip for the last 3 months
  • Copy of police clearance from the local Police Station
  • Copy of Yellow fever vaccination card

Tourist Visa

  • 2 Copies of visa application form to be filled completely and signed.

  • Personal letter having Name, Nationality, Age, Passport No, and Date & Place of issue and reason for visit.
  • Xerox copies of Income Tax Papers
  • Updated bank statement for 6 months in original from the bank with stamp and seal
  • Overseas medical policy
  • Compulsory return ticket
  • Hotel Confirmation with guest name, check-in, check-out details, payment confirmation details and hotel name and address.
  • Salary Slip for the last 3 months
  • Copy of police clearance from the local Police Station
  • Copy of Yellow fever vaccination card

Work Permit Visa

  • The Guyana High Commission in New Delhi, India, does not issue Employment Visas. In this regard, the following steps should be taken:
  • The prospective employer in Guyana must apply on the employee’s behalf to the Department of Citizenship and Immigration for an employment visa on arrival.
  • If the Department of Citizenship and Immigration is satisfied with the credentials of the applicant, a letter is given to the employer stating that the foreign national will be issued with an employment visa on arrival. The letter also sets out the requirements for a medical certificate and registration with the Guyana Revenue Authority.
  • The prospective employee must submit a copy of the letter from the Department of Citizenship and Immigration to the Guyana High Commission in New Delhi, India, for verification, and subsequent issuance of a letter to the relevant airline to facilitate travel.

Special guidelines for COVID-19

  • Airports in Guyana reopened
  • Passengers must have medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must have been taken at most 7days before arrival
  • Passengers are subject to a PCR test upon arrival
  • This does not apply to passengers with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result  with a test taken at most 72hrs before arrival
  • Passengers could be subject to quarantine
