  • 2 Copies of visa application form to be filled completely and signed.
  • Current passport valid for more than 6 months and previous passport
  • Two Recent Photographs 35 x 45 Background should be white with 80 % face no spectacles or cap, both ears should be visible and teeth should not be visible
  • Covering letter on Company’s letterhead with Company’s seal and address and contact number (letter should have details like travel dates, passport number, designation, a brief company profile and other details about trip and expenses).
  • Invite letter on Company’s letterhead with seal and address and contact number (letter should have details like travel dates in and out, passport number, designation, a brief company profile and other details about trip and expenses)
  • In case of individuals, inviter’s full name, ID no. (Foreigner Registration No.) and phone number.
  • In case the inviter is an individual employee certificate is needed.
  • Xerox copies of Income Tax Papers last 03 years.
  • Updated bank statement for 6 months in original from the bank with stamp and seal
  • Bank letter and company bank statement in case of proprietor
  • Overseas medical policy
  • Compulsory return ticket
  • Copy of the Business Registration Certificate of the Indian & South Korean Company.

Tourist Visa

  • 2 Copies of visa application form to be filled completely and signed.
  • Current passport valid for more than 6 months and previous passport
  • Two Recent Photographs 35 x 45 Background should be white with 80 % face no spectacles or cap, both ears should be visible and teeth should not be visible
  • Personal letter having Name, Nationality, Age, Passport No, and Date & Place of issue and reason for visit.
  • Xerox copies of Income Tax Papers
  • Updated bank statement for 6 months in original from the bank with stamp and seal
  • Leave letter from company in case salaried
  • Hotel Confirmation with guest name, check-in, check-out details, payment confirmation details and hotel name and address
  • Day to day schedule

Work Permit Visa

  • 2 Copies of visa application form to be filled completely and signed.

  • Business Registration Certificate of Korean Company
  • Dispatched/transfer order
  • Employment contract and Occupation proof or Employment Certificate
  • An invitation from North Korean national is required through the Ministry of External Affairs
  • TB Test reports valid for 6 months
  • Xerox copies of Income Tax Papers
  • Updated bank statement for 6 months in original from the bank with stamp and seal
  • Overseas Medical Policy
  • Proof of Occupation
  • Certificate of registered foreign investment company or certificate of foreigner investment

NOTE: Covering letter and invitation should favor ‘To, The Visa Officer, Consulate General of South Korea, Mumbai’.

Korea consulate in Mumbai will not accept passport issued in Karnataka and working in Karnataka, the same as to be submitted either in Chennai or in New Delhi.

Korean Consulate do not accept Invitation Letter with notary stamp

Special guidelines for COVID-19

  • Passengers must submit negative PCR test result must be issued within 72hrs prior to departure(Electronic certificates such as on mobile devices are not accepted.)
  • Short term visas (type C1-and C3) issued on or before 5 April 2020 are no longer valid
  • Passengers are subject to a COVID-19 PCR test within 3 days after arrival
  • Passengers are subject to quarantine for 14 days
  • This does not apply to passengers with an isolation exemption certificate issued by Korean embassy or Korean consulate before departure
  • A completed health declaration form and a Travel record declaration must be presented to the quarantine desk upon arrival
  • Passengers are not allowed to transit through South Korea for more than 24hrs
